Get Clear on Your Goals
Do you know what business you're in? What services you provide? All entrepreneurs, regardless of their line of business, must have a clear vision of their goals in order to succeed.
I encounter many struggling entrepreneurs who are wandering through the wilderness. They have no clear idea of where they are going or which of the many paths they encounter will get them to the place they truly want to be. While the journey is important, in business, selecting a desirable destination is every bit as vital. No entrepreneur can be successful if he or she doesn't have a destination in mind. I call this destination "the other side of the river," and getting there is a lot more likely if you can picture it clearly.
So, as you are working hard every day to build your company, or as you're building your career, focus on visualizing the products or services you want to sell, the markets you want to enter, and the audiences you want to reach. Only then can you begin to accomplish those goals and reach their "other side of the river."
