Joel's Background
Often dubbed a "growth architect" by his clients, Joel thrives
in helping audiences to overcome business challenges by transferring
powerful and usable skills so that participants can help their companies
to achieve its highest potential.
He's well known and respected in his field both nationally and internationally,
developing start-up, pre-revenue and middle market businesses within
a range of industries, offering advisory services and professional
speaking engagements including conferences, workshops, telephone
seminars and university appearances. Joel is a best selling author,
assisting hopeful entrepreneurs worldwide with publications in The
Wall Street Journal, Los Angeles Times and Investor's Business Daily.
Joel began his career at Price Waterhouse, later developing his own
successful real estate syndication firm. His proudest accomplishment
to date was in the successful creation and marketing of Financial
Fax, a personalized newspaper of selected stock market information.
Financial Fax was sold to Los Angeles Times in 1995, at which time
it was widely distributed throughout the investment community.
In 1990, Joel founded his current business, Growth-Logic. In this
role, he does what he most enjoys -- teaching other entrepreneurs
and business leaders how to be extremely successful. An out-of-the-box
strategist, Joel speaks to corporate audiences to help improve their
skills -- making them stronger contributors to their teams. He also
advises companies on ways they can be more profitable in their ventures
using innovative and entrepreneurial means.

Business Networking Activities
- Joel has been an active member and strong leader in the Los
Angeles Networking community since 1996. He's also moderated multiple,
monthly All Cities Resource Group meetings since 2001, uniting
thousands of members and guests at hundreds of formal meetings.
- Joel is founder of the California Capital Marketplace, one
of the most influential finance organizations in Southern California.
He's acted as president since its inception in 2002 through 2005,
when he passed the opportunity to a fellow member.
- Joel participates in the Los Angeles Venture Association (LAVA),
the Commercial Finance Association, the Association for Corporate
Growth and is a frequent speaker at business functions.

- 2001 - Present: Joel begins speaking professionally. Since
2001, Joel moderates hundreds of panels and he speaks to countless
audiences on corporate and entrepreneurial topics.
- 2001 - Present:
Growth-Logic continues to offer business advisory services, raising
capital for client companies, building sales forces and at times,
garnering equity interest in their success.
- 2001: Sharefax was
renamed Growth-Logic, Inc., concentrating on hyper-growth consulting
and momentum building with an emphasis on strategic planning,
sales growth and capital development.
- 1998 - 2001: Consulted various
companies primarily in the technology industry. Served as interim
CEO and other key positions while raising capital, preparing
strategic plans and rendering selling services.
- 1996 - 1997: Consulted Dallas-based sports publishing company,
later serving as president and publisher.
- 1994 - 1997: Contracted
with LCI Communications agency to resell long distance services,
supporting Financial Fax activities. Placed T1 services into
corporate accounts.
- 1990 - 1996: Created the Financial Fax personalized stock
portfolio concept; secured Los Angeles Times as lead strategic
investor in 1992, serving as the company’s president and
publisher until divestiture was complete in 1995. Continued
in company management through 1996.
- 1987 - 1990: Launched Southwest
Pacific Corporation, a real estate investment and property management
firm; originated eight real estate property syndications through
limited partnerships while acting as one of two general partners.
- 1988 - 1994: Held Colorado Certified Public Accountant license.
